I listened to and was impressed with the first book "Sacred Treason" - both the story and the narration. The Roots of Betrayal was just as good - although it did take me longer to warm to the downloading the third.

From my perspective, the root cause of betrayal -- whether viewed as right or wrong -- is emotional survival, a fundamental core drive for safety and protection to be in the world. This drive is based on life experiences, especially the early is not rational.
